Abstract

The principal objective of the study was carry out the characterization of different residual currents of the bioteclmi­cal processes and analyze their possibilities of degradation by means of the biological treatment installed in the Centro de In­geniería Genética y Biotecnología. For the analytic control of these current, the methods were selected that they allowed to evaluate the parameters established in the regulations for the discharge of residual liquids to the environment, without deterioration of the same. They are carried out show of che principal efluent of che process of production of vaccine against the B hepatitis and a pat­tem composite with the efluent of three productions of the plant of production. The outputs gotten in the two show they allow to evaluate the composition of the current, the BOD-COD and COD­N-P relationships and consider if they are appropiate or not for a biological treatment.
