Efecto de la testosterona sobre la liberación de FSH hipofisaria en ratas hembras impúberes
Abstract
We use the principle of Steelman and Pohley for the deterrnination of the endogen FSH, and with this method was observed the effect of srnall doses of tcstosterone propionate injected in different moments prior the H.C.G. treatment. We obtained that the testosterone is able to produce a maximal ovariam weight response, when inyected 48 hours befare the first inyection of H.C.G. When we use different doses of testosterone propionate the majar effect on the ovarian weight was observed in a range of O.OS to 0.2 mg of this product.
Higher doses show a negative dose response ratio, the sarne was observed with other testosterone cornpound. The stirnulant effect of
testosterone was observed in rats with 30 to 50 g of body weight.
