Abstract

BIOEST is a programming system designed in Turbo Pascat lan­guage version 5.0 for IBM-compatible microcomputers. The system, for an ex­periment whteh studies lhe behaviour of a specific biological characteristics given through the time, and when the studied product is submitted to the ac­tion of different temperaturas (acelerated storage) permits: to determine the kinetic reaction order, to calculate the K speed constant tor each studied temperatures, to determine it there is a signilicant difference betw􀅈n the K constants corresponding to each lemperature, to evaluate the behaviour ot the Arrhenius 1 11w fnr thfll calculdled K, to predict the lifetime of the product useful for a percent of degradation prefüced, in a given temperatura as well as to determine for condilions of time an storage which is the perrent of degradalion reached. The syslem permits to obtain the graphic of best adjust­ment for each temP"rature lor the reaction order and the graphic of the Ar­rhenius equation. T!le effectivity ol the system has been conlirmed in the determination of !he biologfCal activity ol 1he different human and veterinary products. as well as in !he study ot the viability of lreeze-dryed microor­ganisms
