Ammonia adsorption on the reservoir zeolite Assessor

Abstract

The adsorption isotherms of ammonia were obtained for different
cationic forms (CMTH, CMTNa, CMTK, CMTMg, CMTCa) of natural
zeolite from Tasajera (CMT) deposit. The experimental isotherms were fitted
with the two terms equation of Dubinin-Radushkievich, in order to obtain
the maximal adsorption (Ni), micropore volume (Vi) and the characteristic
adsorption energy (Ei). The order of Ni was: CMTNa > CMTH > CMTMg
> CMTK > CMTCa; this order was determined for the radius of cations and
his positions in the zeolitic channels.
