Abstract

This paper shows a method for water classification based on stoichometric relationships of anions and cations. The system allows to carry out the rnonitoring and control of the quality of the waters in coast acquifers, where the chemical water cornposition introduces great variation as a result of the processes of rnixture between the fresh water and the sea water. The analysis of the field rneasurements in several depths is included; the estímate of the several hydrochemical zones of the acquifer and the water exploitable sheet for irrigation, based on mineralization, the electric conductivity and the hydrochloride contents. The relations between the depth and the quality indicators are shown in a graphical forms. On the other hand, allows to express the chemical composition by meaos of patterns created starting from 66 · 66 = 4 356 combinations of whole nurnbers between O and 10 . These cornbinations are representative of ali the possible types of waters, according to a determined nomination proposed on the basis of Kurlov's classification criterion.
