Abstract

The adsorption of different gases, vapors and liquids is frequently used to characterize the microporosity of
activated carbons. Previously, studies of the adsorption of benzene and carbon dioxide on activated carbons
CAAP-1 and CAAP-2) that had been obtained by physical means were carried out. In the present work, the
adsorption of CO2 in an activated carbon obtained by chemical means and in the primary carbon that served as
the starting point for obtaining the carbons studied was studied and compared with CAAP-1.
