Abstract

The obtainment and physico-chemical charac­terization of two polymorphic forms of the 2,4 dichloro-5-ni troben­zoic is described (Poly1mrph I, m.p. = 120, 9 ºC; Polynwph JI, m.p. = 165,2 ºC). Both polymorphshave been characteriied by X­ray powder diffractometry and difterenti􀄀 scanning calorirretry. No differences were detected in the spectros::opic results of both fonns using infrared spectroscopy, mass spectrometry and protonic nuclear magnetic re!:JJnance.
