Abstract

A methodology to determine the total quantity of amioxidants in the oil of the sugar cane wax, u1ilizing the chain re­action, as a model, of the initiaced oxidation of the cumene (iso­propilbencene) was developed. It was determined that the concentration average of antioxidams is in the range of (0,28 ± 0,04) %. This leve! of antioxidants in tbe oil of cane wax, is higher than the contents of the majority of other vegetable oils, whose concentrations oscillate berween 0,02 and 0,2 % . That offers the possibility of considering this raw material as a valuable source of these componentS.
