EXPERIENCIAS EN LAS INVESTIGACIONES CON VISTA A LA PROTECCION ANTICORROSIVA DE LAS ARMAS DE INFANTERIA DEL PARQUE HISTORICO-MILITAR "MORRO-CABAÑAS"
Abstract
The experiences accumulated so far are exposed with a view to the anticorrosive protection of infantry weapons thatare treasured in the Museum of the Cabin. With the objective of being able to scientifically argue the elaboration
of a long-term conservation program for these weapons, a preliminary study was carried out on the climatic
conditions of the premises (warehouses) of collections and in the exhibition rooms, which allowed classifying the
different areas. in which the museum is divided under these conditions. At the same time, based on duly
substantiated criteria, the classification of weapons was carried out, from which a list of priorities was drawn up
in order to prepare and protect the weapons fund in a phased and rational manner.
