Abstract

The instrumental conditions specified in the corresponding pharmacopoeias for the determination of the sulfate/carboxylate molar ratio in Sodium Enoxaparin are not currently available at AICA Laboratories Enterprise. Implement a method for the conductometric determination of the sulfate/carboxylate ratio in sodium enoxaparin for the quality control of its raw material under the available instrumental conditions. The influence of two factors (temperature and cation exchange resin) on the treatment of the sample was studied by means of tests at two levels of each factor. For each condition of temperature and resin, the results of three tests carried out on the same day were compared with those obtained from a daily test for three days. Tests on the same day: regardless of the temperature and resin conditions tested, the titration graphs were affected by the loss of the carboxylate end point and values for the sulfate/carboxylate ratio were obtained that did not meet the current specification limit in pharmacopoeias. Daily tests for three days: all the values of the sulfate/carboxylate ratio met the pharmacopoeia specification limit and the temperature and resin conditions did not have a statistically significant effect on them with a confidence level of 95.0 %. These last experimental conditions were considered satisfactory for the future use of the method in the quality control of the sulfate/carboxylate ratio in Sodium Enoxaparin raw materials.
