Abstract

The good performance of electro-electronic products depends to a large extent on their ability to withstand environmental aggressiveness in each of the stages of their useful life cycle. In the production and commissioning of these products, many efforts have been made to develop new materials, better performing electronic components and new technologies for their packaging and preservation.

However, not all environmental conditions have been taken into account, as it is common to find that current electro-electronic technology is adapted to withstand temperate climate conditions. Due to this, many of the tests to evaluate their stability and behavior in a certain environment are carried out under typical conditions of such regions, which generates a lack of knowledge about the behavior of said materials in other regions, such as in the tropical.
