Abstract

The hydrolysis of acetoxy groups,

protecting functional group (GFP),

constitutes a way of obtaining

hydroxy derivatives with potentials

pharmacological properties, useful

in the therapeutic treatment of pathologies

human. In this work,

makes use of a specific method

to hydrolyze, quantitatively,

acetate groups, known as the Method

Zemplen1,2 which is based on the

lability of acetate groups versus

a solution of sodium methoxide

0.1 mol / L previously prepared. Of

this way, it is possible to replace the group

acetate (OAc) from C-

21 without affecting other fragments of the

molecule
