Variaciones que se producen en el contenido de fructosa y ácido láctico en la esperma de bovinos in vitro

Abstract

As in aH cells oxidation-reduction proccsses exist in nemasperm. The energy which is necessary for the intense motility is obtained through the decomposition of sugars. Therefore this process in the sperm depens not only on the mobility of the spermatozoids but on their quantity. When the secretion of the acccssory glands is united to the celrs, the enzymatic system of the same acts on the fruc­tose and it glucolizes it, transforming it into lactic acid. In order to determine the variations which are produced in the content ot these substances when they are incubated at 37ºC. the sperm of 23 stud bo­vines was studied at different incubation periods (O, 10, 20, 30, and 60 minutes), and the fructolysis index, the curves of lactic acid produc­tion, the consumption of fructose, and the specific activity were obtained.
