Methodology for management of risks and opportunities in the Management System of Scientific-Technical Services DECA
Abstract
The ISO/IEC 17025 standard is the international reference, developed with the goal of establishing requirements to accredit the Quality Management System and Technical Competence of testing and/or calibration laboratories. The third edition of 2017 presents an important transformation, adapting to the high-level structure of the standards for ISO management systems to greater orientation of the process and the implementation of thinking and action based on risk, substituting preventive actions for risk analysis in several of your requirements. The analytical services of the Scientific-Technical Services Management DECA Group Laboratory, of the National Center for Scientific Research, are covered by a management system in accordance with NC-ISO/IEC 17025:2017, which guarantees the validity of the results test and sustainable satisfaction of customer expectations, and is accredited by the National Accreditation Body of the Republic of Cuba. The objective of this work was to implement a methodology for management of risks and opportunities associated with the activities of the Laboratory, satisfying the requirements of the standard. A brainstorming was carried out, the internal and external factors that may limit the achievement of the Laboratory's objectives were identified, a SWOT matrix was drawn up, and the interested parties and their expectations were identified.
