Abstract

The bioactivators are products that activate the growth and development on plants, they give compounds directly
usable; the assimilation of these elements increase the normal activity on plants. The natural product BIOSTA N, which is presented
as a new plant bioregulator for crops growth; is a product to be applicated on plants, it permits a bigger vigour, assuring
more flowering and fructification. The product contains fourteen mineral elements, an appropriate content of humic acid of low
to half mass molar and at least three phytohormone families. The present work was carried out in experimental areas of the
National Institute of Agricultural Sciences during the months of October to December of 2005 and 2006. It was fulfilled with
the objective of evaluating the agrobiological behaviour of tomato plants to the application of the natural product BIOSTA N. For
the statistical design, a total of five treatments distributed at randomized block with five replications were taken into account;
being evaluated different moments of application of the product (at the beginning of flowering and flowering - fructification).
The results showed a positive effect of this natural product on growth, development, yield and fruits quality on tomato crop,
showing to be an efficient product for tomato production in Cuba.
